Fresh salmon fillets are seasoned and cooked until perfectly tender, then coated with a homemade pineapple teriyaki sauce made with soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and juicy pineapple.
The sauce caramelizes beautifully over the salmon, giving every bite a wonderful combination of sweet pineapple, savory teriyaki, and rich salmon. It’s quick enough for a weeknight dinner but pretty enough to serve to guests.

Salmon Cooking Methods
- Air Fryer: preheat to 400 degrees. Oil-spray salmon using a pie plate that’s oven-proof, or place on an oil-sprayed basket. Add whatever other ingredients 2 minutes before it’s fully cooked on top; it takes around 7 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily
- Oven: Preheat oven to bake at 400 degrees. Use the same directions as air frying, but place on bake for 12 minutes, with ingredients of choice on top around 6 minutes into baking
- Grilled: Heat the grill to 400 degrees, then place salmon, skin side up, on a gas grill over medium heat, or on a charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Add the pineapple to the grill in chunk form for this, and pour sauce on top when the salmon is cooked
