- Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 450 degrees
- You need two mixing bowls one for dry and one for mix-in ingredients that are wet together
- After mixing them in two separate bowls combine them until just blended
- Roll out the biscuits, cut them with a biscuit cutter, and top them without several of our suggestions
- Top with more cheese, bacon, and a few chopped peppers then bake until golden brown

Loaded Bacon Garlic Cheddar Biscuits
Loaded biscuits with bacon, jalapeno peppers, and melted cheddar in a flaky buttermilk dough baked to perfection!

Ingredients
- 6 to 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (and more for the top)
- Note: You can use prepackaged cooked bacon and microwave it or you can fry up regular applewood maple-flavored bacon which is what we used
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese (and more for the top)
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, flat leaf
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, cold
- 1 3/4 cups buttermilk (store-bought in the dairy case)
- Optional Garnish: bell or jalapeno chopped peppers
- Note: we added bacon to the batter with cheese. Before baking more cheese, bacon, and chopped jalapeno peppers. Adapt to your preferences.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- . Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Fry the bacon until crispy, drain on paper towels, and set aside to cool.
- Note: If using cooked microwave bacon cook to package instructions then remove and crumble and set it aside.
- In a bowl add the bacon, flour, cheese, parsley, baking powder, pepper, salt, baking soda, and garlic powder.
- Using a box hand grater, add the butter and grate it into the bowl.
- Pour the buttermilk into the flour mixture and work the dough kneading until it forms a ball.
- Roll the dough out on a floured surface and cut 1 1/4-inch thick cut our 14 biscuit rounds.
- Place on the prepared baking sheet; then put the biscuits in the freezer for 15 minutes.
- Top with more cheddar, crumbled bacon, and chopped jalapeno pepper if desired.
- Place them in the preheated oven at 450 degrees until golden brown.
