Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk or oat milk unsweetened
  • 1 Tbsp. carob powder
  • 1 Tbsp. honey optional

Instructions

  • In small saucepan, combine ingredients over low heat, whisking often until smooth and heated through. Do not boil.
  • Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm temperature.
  • Serve in mug or bowl.

Notes

Get fancy with a little froth! Use a milk frother or whipped cream dispenser to top your furbaby’s hot chocolate. Go one step further and dust the froth with a little peanut butter powder.

Most dogs can’t process the lactose in dairy products well. It may be better to use a non-dairy alternative. Oat milk and coconut milk are great options.

IMPORTANT

Never feed your dog or cat chocolate, including cocoa powder. It contains theobromine which is extremely toxic to pets.
