What does CRACK mean?

If a recipe has “crack” in the title it means that the recipe has cheddar, bacon, and ranch in the ingredients. It all started with my Crack Dip way back in 2007. I made the dip for a Titans football game. Everyone went crazy over it. We couldn’t stop eating it and said it was like crack. The name stuck.

According to the dictionary, the definition of crack is “of superior excellence or ability”. We think the flavor combination of cheddar, bacon, and ranch fits this definition! This recipe is most definitely of superior excellence!

How to Make Crack Chicken Biscuit Casserole

This dish is super easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and set aside. Cut cheddar cheese slices into four squares. Cut bacon slices in half. Place a piece of cheese and bacon on the top and bottom of the frozen chicken biscuits. Place biscuits in the prepared baking dish.

Whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and ranch dressing mix in a large bowl. Pour the egg mixture around the chicken biscuits. Bake in a preheated oven until the eggs are set. Sprinkle with parsley and enjoy.

What to Serve with Biscuit Breakfast Casserole

Crack Chicken Biscuit Breakfast Casserole is rich and hearty on its own, so it pairs well with lighter, fresh sides.

  • A simple fruit salad or a bowl of fresh berries adds a nice contrast and helps balance out all that cheesy, bacon-packed goodness.
  • You could also serve it with a crisp green salad or sliced tomatoes for a little extra freshness.
  • If you’re feeding a crowd, add a sweet option like cinnamon rolls or mini muffins to round things out.
  • If you are feeling extra indulgent, serve the casserole with a side of sausage gravy. YUM!
