What Does Pineapple Teriyaki Salmon Taste Like?

This salmon has a delicious balance of sweet, salty, savory, and slightly tangy flavors.

The pineapple adds natural sweetness and a bright tropical flavor, while soy sauce gives the sauce its classic savory teriyaki taste.

Honey and brown sugar help the sauce become thick and glossy, while fresh garlic, ginger, and toasted sesame oil add layers of flavor.
The result is a flavorful salmon dish without being overly heavy.

Salmon Cooking Methods

  • Air Fryer: preheat to 400 degrees. Oil-spray salmon using a pie plate that’s oven-proof, or place on an oil-sprayed basket. Add whatever other ingredients 2 minutes before it’s fully cooked on top; it takes around 7 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily
  • Oven: Preheat oven to bake at 400 degrees. Use the same directions as air frying, but place on bake for 12 minutes, with ingredients of choice on top around 6 minutes into baking
  • Grilled: Heat the grill to 400 degrees, then place salmon, skin side up, on a gas grill over medium heat, or on a charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Add the pineapple to the grill in chunk form for this, and pour sauce on top when the salmon is cooked
