Genki Sushi launches Crayon Shinchan collab
Japan’s cheekiest five-year-old has landed on the sushi trains. Genki Sushi has teamed up with Crayon Shinchan for a limited-time collaboration, with an exclusive menu and a lineup of collectables at Genki Sushi outlets until 8 November 2026.
Wall’s New “Onigiri” Ice Cream Comes With A Nori Sheet: Here’s What We Think

Leading the lineup is the Signature Cheesy Ebi Fry Taco ($3.20++), a crispy ebi fry topped with cheese and served open-style like a handroll.

Ours came freshly fried and crisp, and it was seriously addictive.

For something heartier, the Shinchan Cheeky Chicken Katsu Rice ($8.90++) is a must-order.

This mini donburi features crispy chicken katsu, paired with sweet corn and fluffy short-grain rice.

The chicken stayed tender in the middle, making it a satisfying pick if you’re after a proper bite.

Ramen fans can go for the Miso Butter Corn Ramen ($8.60++), a rich miso-based bowl topped with chicken chashu, sweet corn, and a knob of butter.

One of our favourites was the Mentai Cheese Baby Scallop ($3.90++), generously loaded with mentai mayo and cheese, then torched until slightly charred.

If you like fried bites, the Tako Karaage with Mentai Mayo ($5.60++) has crispy, battered pieces of deep-fried octopus, served with Genki Sushi’s iconic mentaiko mayo.

To end the meal, the Azuki Matcha Jelly Soft Serve ($6.90++) pairs matcha jelly and azuki with creamy vanilla soft serve at the bottom.

The matcha pudding was earthy and strong without being too sweet, so it balanced the vanilla well.

The dessert also comes with a soft, chewy dango stick.

Beyond the food, fans can also get their hands on exclusive merchandise such as the adorable Shinchan Thermal Lunch Bag ($10.90). DBS/POSB cardholders can snag it for $7.90, while Genki Sushi members pay just $6.90. Genki Sushi members also get exclusive access to the Shinchan Hoodie ($25.90), available for purchase in-store.

Try your luck at the on-site gashapon too, with a free spin for every $50 nett spent. Prizes include Genki Sushi vouchers and keepsakes, including a Shinchan cup holder, phone strap, and cable clips.

Don’t miss out on the feature wall too, where you can snap a pic with Crayon Shinchan himself!

The Genki Sushi x Crayon Shinchan collabs run for a limited time only, till 8 November 2026.
