Singapore has no shortage of wine bars these days. From Champagne-only spots to natural wine bars and hotel lounges with massive wine lists, there’s plenty to choose from.
But where do people who actually spend their own money on wine like to drink?
As a member of Cat Wine Club (CWC) myself, I decided to ask fellow members to share their favourite wine bars in Singapore and why they keep going back.
These aren’t necessarily the fanciest or most expensive places. Just spots that we genuinely enjoy drinking at and would recommend to fellow wine lovers.
The list is in no particular order.

1. Les Climats
Best for: French wine and cheese, poured by the owner himself
Les Climats in Farrer Park is a tiny 20-seater wine and cheese shop run entirely by sommelier Rajeshwaran Gopal, who previously served as group chef sommelier at Les Amis Group.
Rajesh handles everything himself, including curating the French-only wine selection, which features both established labels and lesser-known producers. The cheeses are sourced from Bernard Antony, a renowned Alsatian affineur who also supplies Michelin-starred restaurants.
One nice touch is that there’s no GST or service charge added to the bill, according to its booking listing. Quite rare for Singapore.
With just 20 seats and Rajesh personally recommending the wines, it’s a good spot if you enjoy discovering new bottles rather than just ordering something familiar off a wine list.
Wine Club Member’s Pick
“Les Climats is an awesome little wine and cheese place where i made many new discoveries which became my favourites (like after I tried egly and jessica litaud for the first time). Raj really knows how to find all the good quality plus value (he says high QPR – quality price ratio) stuff mostly from france and offers it at cost plus a small markup.”

2. Convivial Champagne Bar

Best for: Grower Champagne and getting past the big-name labels
Convivial on North Canal Road is a wine bar dedicated entirely to Champagne. Opened in 2023 by Yeo Xi Yang, winner of the 2022 Singapore National Sommelier Competition, the bar offers everything from well-known Champagne houses to smaller grower producers who make wines from their own vineyards. Xi Yang previously worked at Park90 and Les Amis, and his Champagne selection earned Convivial the Best Sparkling Wine List award from Star Wine List in 2025.
The space is fairly intimate, with arched ceilings inspired by the chalk cellars of Champagne. Even the glassware gets special attention, with handmade glasses from Czech producer Kvetna 1794. Food-wise, expect bar snacks with a local touch, including ngoh hiang, which pairs surprisingly well with Champagne.
If you’ve mostly tried mainstream Champagne labels, this is a good place to discover what smaller producers have to offer. And with an award-winning sommelier behind the bar, you can probably pick up a thing or two about Champagne while you’re at it.
Wine Club Member’s Pick
“Go as serious or as casual as you like: Yang knows his Champagne inside out but makes it easy and unintimidating to find a bottle you’ll love, Adrian keeps the service tip-top, the food’s great, and if you stay late enough you’ll find out why it’s called Convivial.”

3. JUICE Wine Club

Best for: Browsing bottles from independent producers, glass in hand
JUICE started as a wine and cheese loft on Circular Road, with a cosy setting inspired by a Parisian apartment. The team also runs JUICE Wine Club in Tiong Bahru, a casual wine shop where you can browse the shelves, try whatever bottles are open for tasting and get recommendations from the staff.
The selection focuses on smaller, independent producers, with interesting finds like Austrian reds and grower Champagnes such as Ulysse Colin. It’s a good place to discover wines you might not normally pick for yourself, especially if you’re keen to try something beyond the usual labels.
There’s also a wine subscription club offering monthly selections and member perks. Unlike a conventional wine bar, JUICE Wine Club is more of a neighbourhood wine shop where you can drop by for a glass, discover something new and pick up a few bottles to bring home.
Wine Club Member’s Pick
“Juice wine club in Tiong Bahru is dark and moody vibe with a fridge full of mostly non conformist old world stuff that they sometimes bring in from auction themselves. They choose wines that they want to drink themselves and sell them to you. Also has a decent by the glass selection!”

Address: 21 Yong Siak Street, Singapore 168651
Opening hours: Wed to Fri: 5pm to 11.30pm, Sat: 3pm to 11.30pm, Sun: 3pm to 9pm. Closed Mon & Tue
4. Temple Cellars

Best for: Natural wine, small producers and a busy tasting calendar
Temple Cellars started out as a neighbourhood bottle shop in Binjai Park in 2017, and has since expanded with a second outlet along Seng Poh Lane in Tiong Bahru. The shop specialises in wines from smaller, independent producers, particularly natural and low-intervention wines. You’ll also find grower Champagnes, craft beers, sake and non-alcoholic options.
Besides browsing the bottles, it’s worth checking out their regular tasting events. In October, the Tiong Bahru outlet hosted a tasting featuring four wines from Ardèche winemaker Sylvain Bock for just S$35 per person. They’ve also held sessions featuring naturally sparkling teas from Chengdu, so it’s not always about wine.
Temple Cellars is primarily a bottle shop, but you can also enjoy wine by the glass without having to buy an entire bottle. It’s a casual spot to try something different, especially if you’re curious about natural wines but aren’t quite ready to spend S$80 on a bottle you’ve never heard of.
Wine Club Member’s Pick
“Temple cellars opened a new Tiong Bahru outlet with enough seating for a small group of 8 or so to grab a bottle and drink in store. It’s cosy and nestled in a back alley with extreme hipster vibes for millennials to be millennials”

5. temper.

Best for: A long night that starts with serious wine and ends with live music
temper. by Ebb & Flow Group is located at Mondrian Singapore Duxton, with two floors offering different experiences. Upstairs is the wine bar, which houses an impressive collection of over 1,200 labels and around 2,100 bottles from more than 30 countries.
The wine programme is headed by Roberto Duran, formerly head sommelier at private members’ club 67 Pall Mall. Besides the usual French and Italian selections, you’ll find wines from lesser-known regions, including Greek reds and grower Champagnes.
Downstairs is a livelier cocktail lounge with LED-lit arches and live jazz, soul and funk performances. There’s also a food menu featuring hearty dishes like a French dip sandwich served with beef broth and a wagyu-blend burger.
It’s a good option if you’re heading out with a group where not everyone is into wine. You can start with a few glasses upstairs before moving downstairs for cocktails and live music.
Wine Club Member’s Pick
“Temper has a very exquisite and atas selection of wines. My friend ordered their last bottle of a Nakada Park Chamapagne which paired well with the sashimi. The lighting is extremely dim and has a red glow, which feels very much like a cross between a club and a bar.”

6. Patrimonio Wines

Best for: Rare Burgundy and vintage Bordeaux, straight off the shop shelf
If you’re familiar with the former Nicolas Le Restaurant, you’ll probably recognise the name behind Patrimonio Wines. Chef Nicolas Joanny ran his French restaurant and wine boutique for around 20 years before opening this wine shop and bar on the fourth floor of a building along Teck Lim Road.
The boutique stocks over 2,000 wine labels, with a strong selection of rare Burgundies, vintage Bordeaux and Champagnes. There are also wines from smaller, family-run estates if you’re looking to try something less familiar.
One nice thing about Patrimonio Wines is that you can pick any bottle from the shop and enjoy it at the bar, with just a 10% service charge added. There’s also an outdoor terrace with city views, along with a menu of French-inspired small plates.
With such an extensive collection, it’s particularly worth visiting if you’re into Burgundy or looking for a specific vintage. And being able to browse the bottles yourself before deciding what to drink is a nice bonus.
Wine Club Member’s Pick
“Nicolas has built the kind of place where you run into your favourite sommeliers and restaurateurs on a patio overlooking the downtown skyline. The shelves run from cult producers to allocation-only grand crus, the tastings are frequent and affordable, and if you find something you love you can buy the bottle to offset the cost.”

7. bYU Wine Lounge

Best for: Top-end Champagne and Burgundy for a proper occasion
bYU Wine Lounge along Mohamed Sultan Road specialises in Champagne and Burgundy, with a premium selection that comes with equally premium prices. Our Cat Wine Club members had good things to say about the wine list, although one did point out that it can get rather expensive.
What makes bYU a little different is its Taiwanese-inspired menu, which offers something beyond the usual cheese and charcuterie pairings. It’s an interesting combination, especially if you’re used to having French food with your Burgundy.
There’s also an afternoon tea menu if you fancy some Champagne earlier in the day. Given the extensive selection, it’s worth asking the staff for recommendations based on your preferences and budget. Probably one to save for a special occasion, unless you’re feeling particularly generous with yourself.
Wine Club Member’s Pick
“Excellent Champagne and Burgundy focused list, balanced out with some interesting wines from lesser known regions. Knowledgeable, extremely experienced sommelier team and a unique spotlight on premium glassware.”

8. Park90

Best for: Fine wine from a deep cellar, with a membership for regulars
Park90 has been around since 2018 and relocated from Conrad Singapore Orchard to the Garden Terrace on the 11th floor of Pan Pacific Orchard in July 2026.
The wine bar carries over 1,000 labels from major wine-producing regions, with a particularly strong selection of Champagne, Burgundy and Bordeaux. Its wine programme has also picked up multiple Star Wine List awards over the years.
The team includes experienced sommeliers such as deputy wine director Celine Jung, an Advanced Sommelier certified by the Court of Master Sommeliers. You can expect a rotating selection of wines by the glass, alongside a Neo-French food menu developed with Michael Wilson of Marguerite. There are even wine-based cocktails for those who prefer something different.
You don’t need a membership to visit Park90, although regulars can join its membership programme for additional perks and private wine experiences.
Wine Club Member’s Pick
“Comprehensive classics focused list, with monthly rotating varietal/producer focused flights. Wide selection of by-the-glass options, including sherries and fortified wines.”

Address: Level 11 (Garden Terrace), Pan Pacific Orchard, 10 Claymore Road, Singapore 229540
Opening hours: Sun to Wed: 4pm to 12am, Thu to Sat: 4pm to 1am
9. Praelum Wine Bistro

Best for: Learning as you drink, one wine flight at a time
Praelum Wine Bistro has been a fixture along Duxton Hill since 2011, and remains a popular hangout among Singapore’s wine community. It’s run by Gerald Lu, who was named Singapore’s Best Sommelier in 2010 and is currently president of the Sommelier Association of Singapore.
The team has produced some notable talent too. Sommelier Vanessa Tan became the first Singaporean woman to win the Singapore National Sommelier Competition in October 2025.
Praelum has an extensive walk-in wine cellar, with a rotating selection available by the glass. You can also opt for flights of three or five wines, which is a good way to compare different grapes, regions or styles without ordering multiple bottles.
The food menu includes French bistro favourites like escargot in garlic and basil butter, charcuterie, farmhouse cheeses and a bikini sandwich with Ibérico ham and truffle mayonnaise.
Interestingly, three of our Cat Wine Club members recommended Praelum, the most mentions received by any wine bar on this list. With experienced sommeliers and plenty of wines to explore, it’s a particularly good choice if you enjoy learning about what you’re drinking.
Wine Club Member’s Pick
“Praelum is where familiar favourites meet unexpected discoveries. From crowd-pleasers to wonderfully niche bottles, there’s always something worth exploring. The sommeliers know their wines inside out, but never make you feel like you need to. And their wine flights? My favourite part. Think omakase, but for wine. I call it wine-kase. You’re always in good hands, and even better pours.”

10. Soif & Co

Best for: Organic and biodynamic French wines with bistro plates
Soif & Co takes its inspiration from the traditional Parisian cave à vin, or wine cellar. The interior has exposed brick walls, wooden beams and warm, dim lighting, giving it the feel of a cosy French neighbourhood wine bar.
The wine selection focuses on organic and biodynamic wines from smaller producers, so don’t be surprised if you don’t recognise many of the labels. Rather than picking something at random, I’d suggest telling the staff what you usually drink and letting them recommend a few options.
Food-wise, the menu features classic French bistro dishes, including terrines, charcuterie and cheese boards. Nothing overly complicated, just familiar dishes to enjoy with a few glasses of wine.
It’s a fairly intimate setting, better suited for a date or a quiet catch-up with a couple of friends than a big gathering. Worth considering if you’re keen to explore organic and biodynamic wines in a more relaxed environment.
Wine Club Member’s Pick
“The warm personality of the staff, the casual ambience make it feel inviting for people new but curious to wine. Even with the vast knowledge he has, Irwin makes it feel easy & unintimidating for me to choose a bottle from his cellar/fridges!”

11. Le Clos

Best for: French wine at any budget, with a proper meal and a game of pétanque
Following the closure of Clos Pasoh at the end of 2023, founder Jean-Christophe Cadoret opened Le Clos at New Bahru in September 2024. This time, the concept is a more casual wine house rather than a fine-dining restaurant.
The cellar carries over 800 labels, with a focus on French wines, particularly grower Champagnes and bottles from smaller, family-run estates. There’s a good mix of everyday drinking wines and more expensive vintages, including large-format bottles for special occasions.
The food is another reason to visit. Much of it is prepared using a Josper oven, including the grilled tuna collar that regulars might remember from Clos Pasoh. Other dishes include mussels cooked in vin jaune, served with thrice-cooked fries.
There’s also a deli next door where you can buy wines, cheeses and charcuterie to bring home. And in case you needed another French touch, there’s even a pétanque pitch on the terrace.
With its extensive wine selection and proper food menu, Le Clos works just as well for a casual dinner as it does for an evening dedicated to wine.
Wine Club Member’s Pick
“Le Clos has a large cellar where i feel like a teenage in a computer parts stall again. So much good stuff like ultra trendy champagnes and rising star winemakers. Their food is also really good and pairs well with wines in general. Once again – it’s cellar price + a small surcharge if you drink there. and if you like the wine, you can buy another bottle home at a reasonable price.”

Opening hours: Restaurant: Mon to Wed: 6pm to 12am, Thu to Sun: 12pm to 12am (last orders 2.30pm lunch, 10pm dinner).
Wine bar and deli: Daily: 10am to 12am
12. Fiasco by JUICE

Best for: Natural wine with a proper dinner, for date night or a big table
From the same team behind JUICE Wine Club, Fiasco by JUICE is a wine restaurant that started on Yong Siak Street in Tiong Bahru before relocating to the mezzanine level of Kallang Rivergreen Building along Kampong Bugis.
Like JUICE, the wine selection leans towards natural wines from smaller, independent producers, with a rotating list that gives regulars something new to try.
The new space has a rather eclectic interior, with mismatched furniture, royal blue and clay-orange walls, and lighting that gets dimmer later in the evening.
Food is a big part of the experience here, with a bistro-style menu that incorporates Southeast Asian flavours. You’ll find dishes like duck croquettes with sambal matah and bebek guling, alongside familiar options like steak frites and burgers.
Compared to JUICE Wine Club, which is more of a casual bottle shop, Fiasco is somewhere you’d head for a proper sit-down meal with wine. It can get busy on weekends, so reservations are recommended, especially for dinner.
Wine Club Member’s Pick
“Fiasco by Juice is a good spot. It leans towards natty offerings and the crowd is more expat-ish, but it’s cosy and intimate. Good for big groups and date nights.”
Recommended by: Grace

How to choose a wine bar in Singapore
For French wine and cheese with personal recommendations, Les Climats offers a small, owner-run setting, while Convivial Champagne Bar focuses exclusively on Champagne, including smaller grower producers. Those curious about natural wines can browse bottles at JUICE Wine Club or attend tastings at Temple Cellars. Praelum Wine Bistro suits drinkers who want to compare styles through guided wine flights, while Patrimonio Wines lets guests choose from an extensive collection of rare Burgundy and vintage Bordeaux. For a full meal, Le Clos offers French wines alongside substantial dishes, whereas Fiasco by JUICE pairs natural wines with a bistro menu suited to dates or group dinners. The right choice depends on wine preferences, food plans and occasion.
