Ingredients

  • 1 loaf (16 oz.) unsliced homemade-style white bread day-old works best
  • 3 Tbsp. avocado oil
  • 3/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp. Himalayan pink salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper

Optional

  • 1 tsp. nutritional yeast

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In small bowl, combine all seasonings.
  • Slice bread into 1-inch cubes and place in large mixing bowl. Drizzle bread cubes with avocado oil and toss to coat. Sprinkle on seasonings and toss again to fully distribute.
  • On parchment-lined baking sheet, lay out bread cubes evenly and bake 24 minutes, tossing every 6 minutes or so.
  • Once golden brown, remove from oven to cool completely.
  • Transfer to airtight container and use for salads, soups and stuffing.
