Potato Au Gratin Ingredients

Potato – Potatoes are the main ingredient of this recipe. Starchy potatoes like russet, yukon gold or king edward works best because they soak up the flavours well.

Cream – Use full fat cream to make sauce rich, smooth and indulgent. If you prefer, you can also swap with coconut cream.

Milk – Milk balances the richness of the cream and lightens the base without being too heavy. It also helps to cook the potatoes evenly. For a vegan alternative, use almond milk, soy milk or oat milk.

Garlic – Garlic adds a nice flavour to the base without overpowering. You can also add garlic powder for a subtle taste.

Salt and pepper – Both are used to season the potatoes and enhance the overall flavours. Adjust it according to your taste.

Butter – Be generous with butter as they add richness to the sauce and prevent the potatoes from sticking to the pan.
