The 3-month-long wait is over as Pasir Panjang Food Centre returns. Having closed for repairs and renovations in Dec 2025, Pasir Panjang Food Centre’s eye-catching new exterior provides a fresh new look for the food centre, kicking the month off right.
Its updated look is revitalising and more welcoming as diners are beginning to return. It’s hard to miss with the neon sign!
The interior is also notable, now coated with a striking green. This new use of green can be used to signify renewal of the food centre, reflecting the food centre’s move towards a more modernised identity, possibly symbolising a new era for food centres alike.
Additionally, the green theme may be designed to align with Singapore’s City in a Garden vision, evoking natural imagery and helping the space feel cooler and calmer, hence making the dining experience here a much more pleasant one.
As many diners come to food centres to unwind after a long day of work with affordable meals, the new coat of paint promotes peace as well, making it the apt choice for a food centre undergoing renovations.
Renovations were undertaken to enhance the food centre as a community space and to improve its existing infrastructure, ensuring that food centres continue to remain central to allowing diverse groups of people to mingle amongst each other, promoting social connectedness.
If you are heading down there, please note that as of 1 Mar 2026, only 7 stalls have opened for the time being, and more stalls are set to open in the coming days.
