Season with salt and black pepper, to taste. Spread the chicken mixture into a baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven until bubbling. Sprinkle with parsley or green onions.
Helpful Tips & Frequently Asked Questions
- I use rotisserie chicken in this recipe. You can substitute any cooked chicken that you have on hand – boneless skinless chicken breasts, chicken thighs, chicken tenderloins all work great.
- Can substitute an equal amount of canned chicken.
- I use McCormick’s Nashville Hot Chicken Seasoning. You can buy it at the grocery store and Amazon: https://amzn.to/4lPPJnj
- Is Nashville Hot Chicken Dip spicy? We did not think that this was spicy. Add cayenne pepper to the dip for a spicy dish.
Storage Tips
- Can I make Nashville Hot Chicken Dip ahead of time? Yes. You can assemble the dip in advance and store the baking dish covered in the fridge before baking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- Reheat in the microwave or covered with aluminum foil in the oven.

What to Serve with Baked Dip
This dip disappeared in a flash at our last football party. Everyone asked for the recipe! Nashville Hot Chicken Dip is best served warm and bubbly, straight from the oven. It’s the kind of dip that demands a good scoop, so sturdy dippers are key.
- Serve it with tortilla chips, toasted baguette slices, crackers, or even waffle fries for a fun twist.
- Veggies like celery sticks or carrot sticks are great if you want something a little lighter with a nice crunch.
- To round out the party spread, serve alongside pigs in a blanket, sausage balls, and LA Caviar dip.
It’s perfect for game day, parties, or just a snacky weekend at home—no matter how you serve it, this dip disappears fast. Looking for more game day recipes? Here are some popular recipes:
