Cheddar Bacon Ranch Crescent Bake
Crack Chicken Crescent Bake is the ultimate comfort food—it’s creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor in every bite. The buttery crescent roll crust is perfectly golden and flaky, creating a delicious contrast to the rich filling of tender chicken, smoky bacon, melty cheddar, and tangy ranch. Each layer works together to create a savory, indulgent dish that’s impossible to resist. Whether you’re serving it for dinner or at a gathering, one bite of this casserole will have everyone coming back for seconds!
What does CRACK mean?
If a recipe has “crack” in the title it means that the recipe has cheddar, bacon, and ranch in the ingredients. It all started with my Crack Dip way back in 2007. I made the dip for a Titans football game. Everyone went crazy over it. We couldn’t stop eating it and said it was like crack. The name stuck.
According to the dictionary, the definition of crack is “of superior excellence or ability”. We think the flavor combination of cheddar, bacon, and ranch fits this definition! This recipe is most definitely of superior excellence!

How to Make Crack Chicken Crescent Bake
This recipe is effortless to make with only a few simple ingredients. Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside. In a medium bowl, stir together shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and ranch dressing – season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Press a can of crescent roll dough into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared pan. Spread the chicken mixture over the dough. Top the chicken mixture with an additional can of crescent roll dough. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown. Top the casserole with more shredded cheese and bacon. Bake until the cheese has melted. Garnish with green onions or parsley.
