You can reheat the leftovers in an air fryer. Preheat the air fryer and reheat the green beans at 380F for two to three minutes. You can also use a microwave, but they might not be as crispy.
💭 Tips and Variations
- You can grate some parmesan cheese on the green beans for some extra flavor.
- Make sure you dry your fresh green beans before air frying so they crisp up nicely.
- For extra crunchy green beans, dip them in an egg mixture with almond flour before air-frying. Almond flour is a low-carb substitute for all-purpose flour or panko breadcrumbs.
- Add chili powder, red pepper flakes, or cayenne pepper for some heat. If you’re not a fan of spicy food, you can leave them out.
- Be sure to taste the green beans before air frying to determine if they are seasoned to your liking.
- Make sure to place the green beans in a single layer, and don’t overcrowd the basket.

👩🍳 Frequently asked questions
Green beans take about 10 minutes to cook in an air fryer. When done, they should be crisp and have a light golden brown color. Remember that cooking times will vary depending on the size and quantity of green beans you cook, your air fryer model, and the setting you use.
Air frying is healthier than frying in oil because less fat is used, and less oil is retained in air-fried food. However, the amount of fat in air-fried food depends on the quantity of oil used in the frying process and how the food is drained after cooking.
