Glazed Banana Spice Doctored Cake Mix
If you love the warm flavors of spice cake and sweet, ripe bananas, this easy banana cake is going to be a favorite!

Ingredients
- 1 box spice cake mix (15.25 size)
- 1 box instant vanilla pudding
- 3 mashed very ripe bananas
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup of water
- 1/4 cup oil
- Optional Rum Glaze Adult Topping:
- 1/2 cup dark or light rum
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour your chosen cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the spice cake mix, instant pudding, mashed bananas, eggs, water, and oil.
- Beat until smooth and just combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Baking time will depend on your pan size and type. Usually takes around 50 to 55 minutes.
- Cool in the pan briefly, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Glaze with rum below, dust with powdered sugar, or add a thin icing drizzle on top.
