  • First, make sure you have clean skewers, either wooden or metal.
  • Soak wooden skewers for 30 minutes to prevent burning, or use metal skewers for better heat conduction.

  1. Grill: Soak the skewers in warm water, and thread the chicken. I usually cook these on oil-sprayed foil ( see photo below). Heat the grill to medium heat and cook for around 5 minutes, turning until the juice runs clear and the internal temperature is 165 degrees
  2. Oven: place it in a cast-iron skillet, and bake at 400 degrees until browned, and the juice runs clear, around 15 to 20 minutes. Cool, then thread on skewers 
  3. Air Fry: Heat the air fryer to 400 degrees. Place chicken strips on the middle rack and set the timer for 11 to 15 minutes. Thread the skewers when cooking is completed. Refer to your instant-read thermometer to ensure doneness is at 165 degrees internal temperature.
