Easy Shrimp Fried Rice
Happy New Year everyone! Today we’re making a very easy shrimp fried rice. This simple shrimp recipe shows you how to make fried rice at home with minimal effort. It’s a quick stir fry that results in delicious Chinese food, perfect for any meal, especially on a busy day. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
2 cups leftover rice
1/3 lb shrimp, cleaned and deveined
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 of an onion, chopped
a handful bean sprouts
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 green onion, chopped
salt
white pepper powder
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
sesame oil
avocado or vegetable oil
Written recipe for Shrimp Fried Rice:
1. Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat and add oil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and scramble the eggs until just set. Remove from the wok and set aside.
2. Add a small amount of oil to the wok. Stir-fry the shrimp with the garlic for 2–3 minutes, or until the shrimp are just cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. Add another small amount of oil to the wok. Stir-fry the onions for about 1 minute, until fragrant, then add the bean sprouts and stir briefly to combine.
4. Add the rice to the wok and stir well to break up any clumps. Cook for about 3 minutes, allowing the rice to heat through. Drizzle the soy sauce around the edge of the wok, then stir to evenly coat the rice.
5. Return the scrambled eggs and shrimp to the wok and stir to combine.
6. Add the oyster sauce and mix well until evenly distributed.
7. Finish with green onions and a drizzle of sesame oil. Serve!
