Ingredients

  • 1 cup tapioca pearls
  • 5 cups water
  • 2 cups oat milk
  • 8 black tea bags
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • Ice for serving

Instructions

  • Bring 2 cups of water to boil.
  • Add tea bags and steep for 5 minutes.
  • Strain and let tea cool to room temperature. Chill in ridge if desired.
  • In saucepan, bring 3 cups of water to boil.
  • Add boba pearls and cook for 5–7 minutes, or as directed on package, stirring occasionally.
  • Once they float and become soft, drain and transfer to bowl.
  • While still warm, mix boba with brown sugar.
  • Let it sit for few minutes to absorb sweetness and coat boba.
  • Divide sweetened boba between 4 glasses.
  • Add handful of ice.
  • Pour in 1/2 cup of cooled tea and 1/2 cup of oat milk into each glass.
  • Stir well and serve with wide boba straws.
