  1. Cook noodles according to package directions until firm-tender, 5 to 6 minutes. Stir in peas, drain in a colander and rinse under running cold water; drain well.
  2. Heat butter in a medium skillet over medium-low heat. Add shallots and cook, stirring often, until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Add noodles, salt and pepper; stir until hot, about 1 minute.
