Salt-Baked Potatoes

recipe image

  • After discovering this recipe a few years ago, I always bake my potatoes this way. Great on the inside. I usually cook other veggies for the side/as a filling and I leave out any salt as there will obviously be plenty.

  • I found these way too salty, even after trying to scrape the salt off the skin.

  • Fluffy, like mashed potatoes, on the inside; addictive salty crisp on the outside. Amazing.

  • This was great, however, for my taste, it needed less salt. Definitely will make again and mix in some other dry spices to make it more interesting.

  • I have been trying to figure out a healthy way to get the salt to stick. In the past, I used bacon grease. I feel much better with this method. It makes a terrific baked potato.

  • I always wondered how to make a salt baked potatoe like I find in restaurants. This is simple and works well leaving a slightly crisp salted skin on the potatoe.
